[LEFT] I loved the idea of using the “Live Photo” feature to try to get long exposures and play with light during the fireworks, but
unfortunately the timing wasn’t great, so they just ended up a bit washed out
[Right]: I had this vision of getting artistic and delicious shots of all the different food vendors, but I wasn’t able to complete the set, the vendors didn’t always pick locations with the best background, and its hard to make a steamer pan full of hot dogs look artistic!

[ABOVE] Before and during the time that my fingers were freezing, I took a lot of land-scapey photos and general pics of folks just doing stuff. The weather wasn’t ideal, the sky was pretty grey, and the wind was so strong that sometimes there was foreground blur just from things moving around, lots of potential, but when you take photos outside you have to work with the conditions you’re given.

[ABOVE] Smart Phone tech is shockingly well adapted to fireworks, the ability of these things to capture good photos of a fireworks show continues to blow my mind. I had over 200 fireworks shots, but thanks to the numbness in my fingertips, they’re all similar photos but with slightly different colour variations. I had my mini tripod in my pocket, but didn’t have the dexterity to rig it up, so alas, here we are.
